Using Question Groups

It is recommended to group survey questions by topic, especially when the survey is extensive or contains at least three matrix or scale question types.

Grouping questions helps respondents better understand the topic being addressed. Additionally, matrix and scale questions can be enhanced with “intelligence” if they are part of a question group. This feature allows for more precise result analysis in the report.

Non-Intelligent Group

• Respondents cannot see their previous answers in matrix or scale questions.

• You can define different axis labels for the matrix or scale questions within the group if desired.

Intelligent Group

• Respondents can see their previous answers for matrix and scale questions within the question group.

• Previous answers are displayed as small dots, making it easy for respondents to compare their new answers to earlier ones.

• NOTE! When using an Intelligent Group, there must be at least three questions in the same question group for the Intelligent Group feature to function properly.

When using an Intelligent Group, the axis values and labels for all matrix and/or scale questions in the group are automatically unified. This enables the comparison of questions with each other and allows for more detailed result analysis using a relative report.
